This is one of the worst schools we have ever attended. Unless you conform completely to their "model student standards" they are unable to teach or get through to students. My son is very highly gifted and while attending this school the principal informed me that my son had a black heart and that if I didn't start taking him to church he would end up in jail or in a lot of trouble as an adult. Mind you, he was 5 years old when he said this. When attending a meeting regarding my son, the staff bullied their opinions on me and ganged up with several staff members in the meetings, however when I informed them I would be bringing a child advocate to the meeting as a second set of ears they promptly canceled the meeting and refused to see me. I personally think they should refuse all students who are not Christian if their only advice is to take a child to church in order to fix a problem in the classroom. I'd also like to point out since my son left this school he has excelled in every way and we have never heard a complaint against him in his new school. I think for being such a religious school the judgmental, hateful, pessimistic behavior and opinions voiced by staff are disgusting and go against ever fundamental religious belief in teaching love, kindness, tolerance, and above all else, forgiveness. To be told your kindergartener has a black heart and needs to find god is appalling and unless you are in the skycrest Christian "clique" I would deeply advice against sending your child here. They did more emotional damage to my son in one year by tearing a five year old down instead of building him up that my son still struggles with The emotional damage and lack of confidence this school instilled.

My son goes to this school. His teachers are great, however other staff like in the cafeteria they need to learn how to speak to children. So many walk around with just miserable looks on their faces if they do not like children they should find another job. The car circle as well caught a teacher threatening to send a kid to the office for not sitting down. The poor kid had just walked up and was going to the boys side to sit know your facts she seems to be a big bully, however has a totally different attitude when she is face to face with child and parents. Please do not work with children if you do not like them and if other teachers notice teachers bullying a child something should be said. I reported this teacher to the office nothing was done!

I used to go to this school as a child.

This is a fantastic school. I work for Pinellas County Schools and have experience with several elementary schools... The faculty and staff always go above and beyond.. My daughter is " medically fragile" and would be lost anywhere else.. I'm so very glad we were lucky enough to have this school as our ZONED school!!!
