Rented for 3 days, wanted to extend and they refused to do so at the rate anyone could rent fo r today, they demanded I pay $42/day extra since that was my initial weekend rate. Horrible customer service.
Too bad I can't leave zero stars. We waited 20 minutes for a "shuttle" to pick us up. Turns out, it was a gray minivan and about 20 people rushed the parking lot to get in. Then we wait for a 2nd shuttle. My husband just now got on, while I wait with our 3 kids & all the luggage in the baggage claim area of PIE airport. It has now been one hour & 20 minutes since our flight landed & my husband is still in the minivan shuttle, stuck in traffic, on his way to the Thrifty facility.
The most unprofessional car rental business I have ever dealt with. I waited a very long time for a shuttle, when I called to ask if one would be showing up anytime soon, I was told no there were no planes on the ground at the airport. I informed the man I had a reservation for a car, and was told they didn't have any cars available for me . He told me to try back tomorrow, I must be a local and could wait. I informed him I had just flown in and was not a local. After a lengthy debate, he finally agreed to come get me from the airport but it would probably be 30 more minutes. The man was extremely rude, and I received a dirty, beat up car that was at most an economy but thinking a compact when I ordered a mid size. I was charged more than what my reservation said. I travel weekly for work and I will never ever use this company again.
Ugh. Two thumbs down already & we haven't even gotten the car yet.
There was no info at the airport about how to get to their location or what shuttle to take, or even where to wait. Email instructions gave no info either. We called them and got connected to a call center, who had no idea what we were talking about. A friend got their rental at the airport and took us to Thrifty. The gentleman there was nice but didn't have an explanation as to why their local number wasn't listed to call them directly. Very frustrating experience.
First of all when I booked the car it said the were located at the airport but they weren't. The shuttle never showed up so we had to take a taxi to get our car. Then when we got there they didn't have the car reserved so we got a different car. The next day the ABS wheel warning light and the brake warning lights came on. The wouldn't bring me another car so I had to drive an hour out of my way to take the car back and get another one. We lost most of the first day of our trip. I will never rent from them again.
